Imaginary Food

Feeling sore from the Pittsburgh Penguins' overtime loss to the Washington Capitals on Friday, I decided to sleep earlier so that I would wake up in time for the second round of the Stanley Cup playoff; little did I knew I encountered a series of weird dreams which I couldn't remember all but one.

This short 'dream' was very much a life video through the lens of my eyes. In short (as much as I can recall), I woke up and switched on the television. Feeling hungry, I decided to grab some lemon biscuits in the kitchen; these tasty snacks were present prior to my sleep because I couldn't find any during my late night mugging period for the coding and data mining sessions. After grabbing about 2 packets of them, I laid effortlessly on my sofa switching on the television. To be honest, as conscious as I was, I tried to peer hard into the screen to see what was going on. Yet, I was subconsciously opening the wrapper of the biscuits and eating them like a couch potato. It was great; I went to bed hungry and yet I managed to fill my stomach with some imaginary food. At the end of process, I was full.

Interestingly, I woke up 30 mins before the commencement of the game; it was apt considering I didn't had an alarm clock to break up my sleep cycle. Funny how, I was not feeling hungry like any other morning and I bumped into a stash of lemon biscuits in the kitchen. My dad was back from work and restocked those little sweeties; I was in luck. Yet I was quite stunned in the sense that everything seemed very familiar; a little too scary for my likings.

As an avid trend breaker, I opted for the healthier option of my beloved Fuji Apples (Awesome stuff!) while watching the game. Strangely, I couldn’t down the entire apple but about three quarters of it. My stomach was indeed full for some unknown reason or by that imaginary biscuits.

Well, it might seem like an ordinary morning, but I guess this could be quite cool. Imagine how the mind is easily manipulated by a string of dream memory or any other electron methods to convince it that the body is full. Just imagine what kind of world is it. There is no way to fight back; down to the controls and the objective mind of the higher rational being/ system. We are doomed. We are no longer hungry.
