True enough. For a couple of years, I have likened Chelsea's season in the Premier League as a way to gauge the prospects of my personal life.

The correlation is surprising telling and pretty much like a self-fulling prophecy; when the Blues do badly in the league, I fare badly too (on most counts). Still I support my favorite team on good times and bad times.
Yes. There are times when the trend failed to be significant as well.
Even so, like how one of my good friend, Ash, a Manchester United fan, puts it during the conversation we had during supper:
"Supporting a football club is like a relationship. Good or bad results. You girls must understand that no matter what guys will still support their clubs."
To put things into perspective, it's not a great time to be a Chelsea fan right now. But heads up, things will only get better!
While I feel that it is cool to have a girlfriend who supports a football club, regardless of the banter, it's more important to have someone who is there to lift your mood up when you are down.
